BAKE BARN

BAKE BARN

We were introduced to Bake Barn in Wiltshire some time ago now by Lord Alastair Margadale, owner of the Fonthill Estate who very kindly drove us around his grounds pointing out spectacularly delightful spaces where guests could party through until the early hours.

We were scouting out a venue for one of the dying breed of urban ravers who counted Andrew Weatherall as a close member of their group.  The name will mean nothing to most people, but to the cognoscenti, recognised as one of the most revered DJ’s worldwide, sadly now departed to the great outdoor party in the sky.

Having clocked Bake Barn, a real gem of a find, we catered a wedding there a few years later, which, with all the facilities they have, went like a dream.  The views from it are magnificent and although it feels remote, it’s very accessible.  The walled garden in front of Bake Barn makes you feel protected and secure from any chilly blasts, whilst the chalk and flint barn walls radiate warmth, having basked all day in the sunshine.

So, with no neighbours, no noise restrictions and no curfew (their words), it’s the perfect place to ‘Ave it large, which I believe is the vernacular, launch your bouquets with flair and abandon, and party until the early hours, really squeezing every ounce of value for money from your wedding day.
