FULL TIME SOUS CHEF VACANCY.  SALISBURY SP54EJ.  7 MONTH CONTRACT. £28 – 30K PA pro rata. 

1ST APRIL – 31 OCTOBER 2024.  COULD BE EXTENDED TO 12 MONTHS, FULL TIME GOING FORWARD.

‘Bread and Flowers’ is an event catering company based just outside Salisbury, established over 10 years ago.  We cater mostly weddings and significant birthday parties, but also host a series of intimate pop-up events here at our base, Longford Farmhouse.  Our clients are real foodies and come from all corners of the world.  They choose us because they can see the passion in every dish we produce. 

We’ve worked with some great chefs over the years and many of them have cooked alongside us at our Guest Chef events here at Longford Farmhouse.  Gill Meller, Valentine Warner, Romy Gill, Sam & Sam Clarke, Ravinder Bhogal, Sumaya Usmani, Tim Wilson, Akemi Yokoyama, Lucas Hollweg, Matthew Pennington, Rose Prince, Olia Hercules, Diana Henry.

Job Description:

Sous chef to work alongside our head chef, prepping in house, then cooking at external catering events, plus regularly leading a team of three chefs, catering canapes and three course wedding breakfasts at wedding venues and marquees in private gardens.

Strict 40-hour week, Tuesday – Saturday when we have events, Monday – Friday when we don’t have events.

Key Skills:

Cooking delicious, fresh food to a high level.

High level of visual presentation of dishes.

Event catering experience desirable.

Excellent management of staff, tasks, and time.

Getting on well with people.

Catering to 100 – 200 guests and getting a plated main course out in under 20 minutes.

Full driving license.
