My sister still lives up in the North West of England, she’s a carer for the terminally ill, she has been for over 30 years. End of life care, she’s really good at it and has always said how much she enjoys the work, enjoys her charges. She worked for her local council for many years and has a host of stories of how ‘the system’ tried, and succeeded in taking advantage of her and her co-workers, financially, mentally, morally. She’s just been reprimanded by her ‘bosses’ for being too efficient, too caring, too dedicated, doing her job too well. In other words, not doing it how they want it doing; less care, less dedication, less well and costing less money. Apparently the other staff are left feeling intimidated after she’s finished one of her shifts.
Thank goodness I don’t have a boss, well Bee obviously. Thank God to all of us who don’t have to operate within ‘the system’ and well done to everyone who does.

A FEW DETAILS TO NOTE

  • We supply all dishes as single portions.

  • FRESH FRIDAY - We are doing the ‘Fresh Friday’ takeaway again this week. We will produce a quantity of stock of each dish weekly, so that you can continue to order from the day the menu is published, right through to the Thursday, before pick up on Friday. This assumes we’ve done the numbers perfectly and there’s stock available of course, so bear with us.

  • FROZEN EVERYDAY - If you would like frozen dishes at any point during the week, you can order & collect pretty much any time Mon – Friday assuming the stock is available on the website. Just give us a call before you place the order so we can arrange a collection time. We are here 90% of the time!

  • It’s good to know that the frozen dishes are “FRESHLY FROZEN", so cooked then chilled and frozen within 90 minutes. A bit like frozen peas, the frozen dishes are just as fresh as the non-frozen dishes, in fact in some ways they are more so…..
